How was your day?

"Arrest that man!"

"Arrest that man!"

Me?  I got arrested.

Yup.  The cuffs were slapped on WBM for the second time as we dropped by Gold for a quick protest following the Riverside County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Angry Gay pope has put up video from the event.  First is the arrest of “Mark Lowell.”

Couple things I notice from this:  We were arrested because of “trespassing” but all the deputy kept warning us about was blocking traffic in and out of the gates.  At 8:20 AGP steps up off of the street into Scientology’s flower bed and says essentially, “Am I blocking cars now?’   The deputies says, ” Now you are on their property.”    So as we were well aware, we weren’t on their property when we were arrested.

And as for blocking cars in and out, you can see several cars easily coming and going even after the deputies pulled their vehicles into the entry way and grouped us all around in front of the gates.  Not a single car was ever blocked or hindered the entire time.

And the video of my arrest.

Here’s the full debate on the ordinance at the County Board of Supervisors meeting.  They were taking a final vote on the ordinance to restrict picketing in Riverside County.  When Supervisor Jeff Stone proposed the ordinance, it was clearly on behalf of Scientology.  There was so much blowback that they made it about “all residences.”   I did not do as well as I would have liked.  I tossed out everything that I was prepared to say and stammered this out.

We then went to Gold where the Sheriff’s Deputies invited us back to their place.

Mark Lowell arrested at Gold

Mark Lowell arrested at Gold

People have been talking about this around the web.  There’s an active thread at Why We Protest.   I haven’t been able to keep up with all of it.   I looked at the thread on OCMB and was happy to see that Maureen has gotten word about her sister, so good has already come out of this.

Someone there mentioned that the deputy after the arrests seemed like a different man than the one who took us into custody.  While driving into the station to be processed, I had a chance to talk to him about why people protest Scientology.  He knew little about the group and was shocked to hear about the history and abuses.  I gave him a lot of suggestions for google searches and told him Maureen’s sister was inside the gates and their family was hit by disconnection.  He told me he would do a welfare check and I’m happy to see he did it promptly.

By the end of the day, good had already come out of the arrests.  I think more good can still come.

More when I have time.

Thanks for your support!

Glad you guys are OK Mark (and Mark).

Is your next court date April 24th?
    I will be there!

Nice speech. I hope that you are doing fine. I am convinced that this short-lived “victory” will harm scientology in the longer term.

    Take care.

This is utterly outrageous, Mark. I look forward to your conclusive win.

  7. Tom Newton Says:

    Mark,

I hope you enjoyed your time in jail to reflect on yourself and think a little bit about your actions. Don’t blame us for your arrest, you tried for a long time so you can be the hero of Anonymous, yet again.

You have been protesting the Church of Scientology for many years and guess what: We are still here! We have become part of the American fabric and we are here to stay for good regardless if you like it or not because at the end you’re entitled to your own opinion.

But don’t let your action be further clouded by your false sense of entitlement because you are not Gandhi.

  8. fitch2000 Says:

Do you have any ideas on why scientology is suddenly gung ho about making these citizens arrests?

My thought is they are just gonna be statistics to feed to certain politicians who are too lazy to find out the truth themselves or politicians who may be in the cults pockets.

Glad you guys are OK. Still sitting here in shock lol.

    Peace.

So, I guess there goes your pretense of being a non-scientologist, and a neutral objective party, huh? Several times you refer to ‘us’ and ‘we’. Have I cleared all my MU’s, here? Too busy exalting to keep up the charade? What would LRH say?

  10. 3rdman Says:

From what I read on WWP, one of the deputies arrested someone on orders from Cathy the Scilon who claims to be using the place as a residence. So apparently the police on now lapdogs to Scientology.

Do these idiots realize actions like these are just going to make things worse for them? The county supervisors (DM ballz suckerz) claimed Scienfaggotry had nothing to do with this, but look what is happening now! Fuck that shit.

Those puppets who call themselves supervisors should be ashamed of themselves for stomping on our freedoms.

    Off topic…
Oh and btw, the original Tom Newton (aka Alan Connor) is no longer in control of his own handle or website. The original TN has disappeared according to discussions on IRC. Don’t know what happened but we believe his account and site was taken over by a real Scientologist (though still very good at acting like Tom: petty, poor debater, selectively ignorant to all valid criticism towards Scientology). Welcome newtroll.

I’m glad to hear that you’re not currently incarcerated and I wish you both much luck for any subsequent legal stuff that ensues.

I heard about your arrest on Torys video on youtube,
God it made me angry they did that.

Best wishes WBM to you and Mark Lowell.

These citizen’s arrests, etc just show how desperate the cult is to stop the truth from getting out.

  19. Mitsu Too Says:

Keep smiling Mark (and Mark). Scientology keeps making huge mistakes and drawing more attention to themselves with every incident. How’s that working for you Scientology? You keep drawing people’s attention back in. Look forward to your update Mark.

  20. Bill W Says:

While I believe Mark makes a good point in his 3-minute talk to the City Council, the manner in which he did it is all wrong. Co$ wants Mark to lose his cool and act exasperated like he did when addressing the council. I know Mark will come out of this with great vigor and determination, but there are aspects of Anon that need to be addressed. There are factions in Anon that are all about LULZ no matter the reason or method. Failure to look at these parts of Anon, cuz the casual observer sees anything but one singular group, will hurt the effectivness of Anon. And this is the reason Anon exists: to enlighten the casual public about things that need to be known. I am not waging my finger at anyone here. Just remember that the credibility of any accuser will automatically be called into question by the casual observer.

  21. Martin Says:

Came in with all guns blazing, eh Mark. I guess it’s hard to be detached when you have been fighting this all your life. I wont teach anyone to suck eggs, just wish you good luck and hope this gives you a forum to debate the issue with a wider audience.

  26. Hubbard-Telescope Says:

They can’t switch tactics, they have to use the same old methods that never worked. :3 And with all the new attention brought on Scientology over the past year, this is exactly the kind of abuse of the law and PR blunder they should try to avoid. We’ve got your back, WBM!

  27. 3rdman Says:

    Bill W.

Although your analysis is partially correct, keep in mind, Anonymous does not serve one purpose. Goto 4chan.org and you’ll see what most of Anonymous does. Whatever reason an Anon does this is whatever reason an Anon does this: Lulz, boredom, moral-faggotry, whatever.

    Dissenting voice.
And it would be advantageous if we did have central management? Lets keep in mind: one of the reasons Anonymous has done so well throughout the year is because it has no leaders. Leaders can held accountable for the whole of the group, leaders can slow things down, leaders can make wrong decisions, and leaders can make things unnecessarily complicated. The minute you start adding a hierarchy, you just create another protest group. Anonymous is unique in its leaderless methodology and its gotten things done just as fast.

  28. dustey Says:

Good to know you’re a part of Anonymous!

    TC 🙂

  29. Mr. Ogson Says:

Well, though it certainly sux and smells badly of abuse of power (the illustrious sheriffs dept. pocketed? Little doubt), it seems to be another example of criminal (and frivolous) harassment by Co$ members in their never ending battle to litigate their way out of the lime-light. Some old saying about ‘Living by the sword..’ comes to mind. (and a vision of a Trapdoor spider) This may be another opportunity to bring more Scilon antics into the public record, attract some (always needed) media attention and free publicity, and give the citizenry of Riverside another glimpse of the cult in their midst (and gain more support there, which I believe is important). Will be following this story closely.
Good luck Mark(s), and oh, did they read you your ‘Meander Rights’? 🙂

    @TomNewton,

You’re just barely here and trust me… almost the entire world is laughing.

  32. Anonymous Says:

Mark, you could have made the point, that the same compilation of random internet posts and images attributed to Anonymous, which Jeff Stone presented in december to justify his ordinance, had already been sent before by a Scientologist to an employer of an exscientologist, who protests together with Anonymous, in order to fair game him, which clearly shows that Jeff Stone had been approached by Scientology, because he used the same compilation.
    See http://forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?t=8198
If you had asked him, who gave him the material, you would have had him by the balls.

There was never a doubt in my mind that Tom Newton wasn’t a $cientologist. It was very obvious.

  34. Shimmy Shapiro Says:

I’m sad Mark. Perhaps these things are inevitable because you have been so effective in spreading the word about the cult of scientology.

  36. cdor Says:

I don’t think that’s the real Tom Newton. up there. The real one, as far as I have seen always posts its blog in the link of its name.

  37. Truth Says:

No Scientologist would dare post their real name here. They’d be ordered to a sec check and charged a large sum of money for it.

Mark and anyone fighting the “church” of Scientology,
Thank you for all your hard work. You had some great speakers. And some that weren’t even for your side that think that OR 84 is a joke (which it is).
Scientology is on the down swing. I can’t wait till they hit bottom and more members see that what the “church” has been doing is criminal and destructive to people’s lives.
Good luck to Maureen. I hope one day you and your sister can connect back up without Scientology controling her life.

Now let’s just hope the Sharrifs office actually follows OR 84. Which allows the picketing to continue exactly where it has been happening.

We citizen`s of Riverside Co. are watching the shenanigan`s of the supervisor`s, the sheriff`s and the cult and believe me, we see what`s wrong and want to do something about it! Keep up the good work Mark!

  42. marybleuz Says:

  43. Tommy Says:

In the video, the camera man shouldn’t be yelling gay accusations or taunting $cientologists. That doesn’t look good. In fact, it makes the protestors look like angry, trouble-makers.

  44. tsimento Says:

Since you asked, my day went very well, thank you! This video reminded me of the old Clearwater days and all the shenanigans with the white lines…keep going Mark, they think they have discouraged you and the others but we all know better!!

  45. Anonymous Says:

It’s awesome that Maureen has gotten word about her sister. Maybe this could serve as an example for other exscientologists, who have disconnected family members or friends inside.

  46. Tom Newton Says:

“How much do you suppose bail is? Because I’d willingly get arrested.”

Mark Bunker, Anti Scientologist, moments before getting arrested.

The above quote, as spoken by Mark Bunker himself, can be heard at 6:24 in the first video.

Mark Bunker is just the latest among many professional Anti-Scientologists to intentionally get arrested. The “Anti-Scientology Racket”, as it’s known to insiders, profits tremendously from media attention. This explains why the most prominent members of the Anti-Scientology movements are failed entertainers. It certainly explains why they would relish an opportunity to hate on a religion known for its celebrity membership.

Most of the time, these haters are completely ignored by the media. This is because they don’t really have any way of substantiating any of their claims. It’s all hearsay, apostate testimony, conspiracy boilerplate, and demagogic fear mongering.

So every once in a while, whenever a “critic” is experiencing a diminished sense of self-importance, he or she will go get arrested. If you look into their histories, you’ll see that getting arrested is both career launching, and career revitalizing for every single one of these purveyors of hate.

This also explains how these “critics” have managed to paint up the Church up as “litigious.” For decades these people have been manufacturing a straw man to collectively attack, and profit off of. The term “vampire” comes to mind. Their predation has a cold and calculated quality which I find disturbing. It’s like trying to get into the minds of a group of gang-rapists—they don’t care how much harm they do, so long as they “get some”.

Mark Bunker provoked his own arrest by pointing his camera in the face of an arresting officer, and insultingly insinuating that the officer was “…in the pockets of Scientology” as another protester was being apprehended. I will not name the other one who was arrested because I don’t want to help his career.

In the case of “Anon-Orange” it was determined that he provoked an arrest by both yelling “FUCK YOU” repeatedly to security guards (this was caught on film), and also by biting the security guard making the citizen’s arrest.

Tommy Gorman attempted to provoke fights with Scientologists, both online and in the streets. He and his wife Jennifer, in a recent attempt at getting the attention of Anonymous, trashed their mobile home and attempted to blame the Church of Scientology for it. He has not been arrested, and therefore, you probably don’t know who he is.

The failed comedian and Anonymous hate group leader Donald “the Angry Gay Pope” Myers started sexually harassing parishioners, both male and female, until he was served a restraining order. His newly found Internet fame has landed him a poorly conceived website (with a donation button) and a career as a full time “Anonymous” member.

Stu Wyatt, a very violent Anti-Scientology activist and all around sleaze, cemented his place as an icon to Anti-Scientology activists everywhere by getting arrested in the midst of generating a great deal of drama when he started videotaping his verbal abuse of Scientology staff members. Although to be fair, he didn’t get himself arrested–I was behind that. It did, however, boost his popularity. I called him a sleaze because, as I documented before, Stu tried to use his e-fame to seduce a minor. I do recall feeling a little bit remorseful after placing the anonymous tip off to the local police that Stu was hoarding lots of marijuana in his flat, but his actions towards that innocent girl provided all the justification I needed.

The very disingenuous Captain Adderal stalks female parishioners and combines the resultant footage with pornographically themed video footage, posting the horrendous results on the Internet. His most famous one entitled “Scilon Lesbians: Disconnected from Love”, included the unwitting participation of female employees of the Citizens Commission for Human Right’s headquarters. He wears a Guy Fawkes mask, attends Anonymous protests, and regularly visits Anonymous websites, yet, despite all of this, he maintains that he is not a member of Anonymous. The Captain hasn’t seen the inside of a prison cell yet, but I’m working on it…..

“Epic Nose Guy” was arrested after refusing to comply with the officers overseeing the protest/ hate rally he attended. He brandished a sign with the word “CULT”, even after the police told the protesters that the Church members found that epithet offensive and misleading. You can learn more about Epic Nose Guy by going to http://www.epicnoseguy.com and searching the archives.

Early in her Anti-Scientology career, Tory Magoo had herself arrested at a picket. It was a defining moment for her and, as a Public Relations expert for over 20 years, she probably understood the power of negative publicity better than any of the others.

This is not an attempt at a comprehensive overview of all of the arrests, nor of all the major media events generated by the Anti-Scientology Racket, but these are some of the clearest examples of activists becoming nuisances in order to become martyrs. It’s a brilliant, albeit dishonest tactic.

But what else would you expect from a network of con-artists and wannabes?

  47. anonymous Says:

    Tom Newton,

It is kinda sad to see you do PR for Scientology. I also assume now you admit that you are a scientologist after all that denial. How are we to trust what you are saying is true after lying?

More importantly, can you actually back up anything you are saying. You are talking in innuendo and hearsay. Please provide us with sources for your attacks, that are not scientology edited material. I bet you can’t and it is ok, you are paid to lied to make sure the church looks good.

Finally, “But what else would you expect from a network of con-artists and wannabes?” My only response is, why don’t you tell us seeing as you are part of the con and criminal network right now.

  48. winnie the lazy cat Says:

WBM is more than wise. He’s brave too … and strong. I will do what I can to make sure the $cinos get their just rewards for what happened to you. They just don’t seem to realise that actions like your arrest just spur the rest of on even more. Your arrest is like jet fuel for me – I, and many others out there, will simply redouble our efforts, refocus our strategies, mutate our methods and (lawfully) strike back. They are up against an evolving army of creativity, fun, moralfaggotry and lulz.

We will stand with you WBM.

He isn’t the only guy who trolls Scientology critics and Anonymous. Trolling goes with the territory of the internet.

Problem with trolling Scientology critics: The critics did their research and provide references to back their stories up.

Problem with trolling Anonymous: Goto 4chan.org. Trolling Anonymous is like urinating in an ocean of piss.

Would be just cool if Tom Newton (which one ever) would stop spamming up this blog. Three or more replies like “What is your answer Mark? What is your answer Mark? What is your answer Mark?” just reminds me too much at the obligatory “What are your crimes?” spam-question routine you get nailed with at pickets. Which really makes me think that you’re a scientologist. I mean…you seem to use their interrogation methods. 😉

PS. Search for “Mary DeMoss Clearwater” if you don’t know what I’m talking about. 😉

    Stop changing the subject then.

    Stop being a kook.

  77. Artoo45 Says:

“Tom”, you are a sad defender of the faith. Now, back in the good old days the cult had nicotine-stained, bloviating, demi-criminal sleazeballs like Eugene Ingram as their attack dogs. Sure, they were often inept clowns, but they were at least dangerous-seeming inept clowns. You surely can’t equal Ingram in the seeming-dangerous department. That’s why your “Tom Newton, International Man of Mystery” cloak and dagger act is just plain pitiful. Do I think Mark is the tiniest bit scared of your feeble threats? No. Are critics and anons impressed that a clam has learned to (clumsily) use the intertubes? No, not really. So take your L. Rob Hubbard Super Thetan MkVII Decoder Ring and your mirth-inducing attempts at intimidating WBM, and kindly go away. Fail is as fail does.

I fail to see how this is relevent, Tom

  80. XENU TV Says:

It’s also a lie. I was at a great distance when a snapped the picture you see at the top of the page in which the deputy consults with Cathy (who was pointing out who to arrest) and Scientology International PR guy, Tommy Davis. I was no where near to pointing my camera “in his face.” Which is why my photo is such a long shot and not a closeup.

And I never said anything about him being “in the pocket of Scientology” or any other such nonsense. At the most, I said that his telling us we couldn’t walk through the driveway was wrong. That was not my understanding of the law. It had never been prohibited at any other protest so why did it start to be the case that day?

I’ve already added two anons to our pickets (the two were never interested in picketing anything before) simply by showing them footage from xenutv. Got them really interested in what we are doing when they see how crazy and deluded the cult is & how much fun we have exposing them.

Besides, I love the people I work with, and for. Why would I leave them?

  99. Artoo45 Says:

Hey “Tom”, I don’t presume to speak for Mark, but I doubt he would be attacking Jane Roberts if she were still alive. Jane may have been deluded about “Seth” being an independent entity, but she never, EVER tried to start a religion. She vehemently warned against it in her own writings and as Seth. I’ve ready every word she wrote, and while I most definitely no longer believe in channeling, or any metaphysics for that matter, I’ll always remember her humor and her bright, curious mind fondly. The incredible courage she showed in her agonizing final years was nothing short of heroic. I knew Jane Roberts and you sir, are no Jane Roberts.

    Art0045:

I don’t claim to be like Jane Roberts. Roberts and Butts were inspired by nothing more than the depth of human credulity. In that respect, Mark has more in common with them than I do. In fact, the whole Anti-Scientology Racket is based upon several major hoaxes, and the utter credulity of the idiots who support it.

    Tom

  101. XENU TV Says:

    Hoaxes, Tom?

    You dope.

  102. Curious Says:

    What are these so-called hoaxes?

  103. Tom Newton Says:

    Dear Curious:

There are a whole lot of them here:

    http://anonymous-is-a-hategroup.blogspot.com/search?q=hoax

    Tom

  104. XENU TV Says:

Yes, Tom. We all know your site is a hoax.

  105. Tom Newton Says:

    Mark,

We all know that a standard disinformation tactic employed by ALL propagandists is to attack the source.

I am the source, therefore, you attack me. You certainly cannot address any of the information I bring up without directing your followers, inadvertently, towards information which undermines your entire Anti-Scientology Racket.

You “critics” have conspired, for years, to keep up your Anti-Scientology Racket by fraudulently getting into legal tangles with the Church. This serves a dual purpose: 1) it makes the Church live up to your propaganda, namely that it is “litigious” and 2) it brings you media attention.

Most people who study the history of demagoguery can see right through your campaign. There are many historical examples of individuals earning substantial livings off of similar hate and defamation campaigns.

What you are doing is fundamentally no different from Neo-Nazi’s do when they spread “Blood Libel” in order to convince people of a great “Jewish Conspiracy”.

    One question:

WHY DID YOU SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING AS DONALD MYERS DESTROYED THAT GARDEN AT THE GOLD BASE?

WE COULD HEAR YOU IN THE VIDEO LAUGHING, MARK.

Feel free to ignore and call me a “dope”, Mark.

  106. XENU TV Says:

    Tom,

Your standard disinformation attacks on me are duly noted.

I think AGP does more harm than good many times and I did tell him he was trespassing and told his attorney he does no one any good with such antics.

Some people don’t get it. But I have no more control over other protesters than I do over you, Tom.

  107. Xenu and John Duigan Says:

    Tom,

Now I’m confused. I read your link about John Duigan and the article he wrote. You say that Duigan admits Xenu is ONLY an unpublished sci-fi manuscript but Duigan goes on to say that the Xenu story became part of their religious doctrine.

You also say that no Scientologist has gone on record to admit that they have a belief in the Xenu story. But doesn’t John Duigan admit he was taught that story and so does Jason Beghe?

  108. Curious Says:

Oops. That was probably a confusing way for me to post my follow up question about Xenu and John Duigan. Sorry.

  109. Tom Newton Says:

    ^

    One thing:

THE ONLY PEOPLE TO PROFESS A BELIEF IN “XENU” ARE THOSE WHO ARE IN ON THE “ANTI-SCIENTOLOGY RACKET”.

    I made that point when I described the H O A X.

Do you know what a HOAX is?

    http://anonymous-is-a-hategroup.blogspot.com/2009/02/xenu-hoax-versus-taxil-hoax.html

    Tom

  110. Geradeaus Karfield Says:

Tom could you shut up please?

Why don’t you solve this like the 13 year old child you are and challenge WBM to a game of Halo 3?

  111. Curious Says:

A hoax is “something intended to deceive or defraud”.

I agree that the Anti-Scientology Racket could be guilty of creating and perpetuating the hoax that the Xenu story is a Scientology doctrine, but Scientology could be accused of creating and perpetuating the hoax that the Xenu story is not a Scientology doctrine.

How does one determine which is the hoax – the existence or absence of this doctrine?

And I know you addressed that point as well. The hoax is “notoriously impossible to confirm or deny”, but that statement only tells me what I already know – that I don’t know who to believe.

What about the Xenu story is so incompatible with Scientology’s published doctrine? From one of the comments on your blog, it seems the Xenu story would simply be a continuation of the auditing process.

I haven’t found this info yet – How old is the Xenu hoax?

And I don’t think the comparison to the Freemasons hoax can really be made until the Xenu hoax is debunked. Once it is debunked, the comparison will be an even more interesting study.

  112. Tom Newton Says:

“I haven’t found this info yet – How old is the Xenu hoax?

And I don’t think the comparison to the Freemasons hoax can really be made until the Xenu hoax is debunked. Once it is debunked, the comparison will be an even more interesting study.”

The Xenu story/ hoax originated in the 60’s. Years AFTER the creation of the Dianetics Auditing procss.

As for any debunking–it’s not going to happen. The Freemasons cannot convince their detractors they they don’t worship the Baphomet anymore than the Jews cannot convince Neo-Nazi’s that they don’t sacrifice babies.

The damaging part of the Xenu hoax is in it’s very un-dis-provability. There is, however, reasonable doubt for those who are not predisposed to believe that Scientologists are all credulous idiots. That is, BIGOTS.

  113. XENU TV Says:

Yes, Tom. Hubbard created the Xenu hoax in the 60’s when he needed to create another course to sell to his followers. That is when he “discovered” the Wall of Fire and proclaimed himself to be the first one to make it through the fire without dying.

Scientology has acknowledges Xenu in court cases for years, it has been written up in articles which have won Pulitzer Prizes and broadcast on shows as diverse as 60 Minutes and South Park.

But you chose to purposely lie about it’s existence. Just like the Scientologists once did.

    http://www.xenu.net/archive/OTIII-scholar/

And here’s a page from former Scientologisr Bernie who now pretends to offer a “balanced” view. Even he admits it is true but says it is not a core belief.

    http://www.xenu.net/archive/OTIII-scholar/

It may not be core but it is what everything is leading to. You can’t make it to the top of the Bridge without winding up auditing BT’s.

    So stop your hoax, Tom.

  114. Tom Newton Says:

    Mark,

Those documents comprise the hoax. The “evidence” was fabricated. The document in question is simply a re-contextualized sci-fi draft. The email which allegedly sold the “Wall of Fire” was also counterfeited.

Anyone who thinks that “BT” are space ghosts are a natural extension of or a logical progression from Dianetics are obviously getting their knowledge from critics. No sane person would believe anything like that. Which is why it’s a convenient stereotype to use to paint up Scientologists in a negative light.

From an impartial, outsiders perspective, I’d have to say that it is far more believable that you are lying.

As I stated earlier: Show me a Satan Worshipping Mason, and then I’ll be prepared to believe in a Xenu-Worshipping Scientologist.

IT seems like you people can only provide scans of documents, and no real proof. Your success literally relies on your ability to recruit morons into your cause.

  115. Dissenting voice Says:

    Tom,

If what you say is true, then what IS at the higher levels of the Bridge to Total Freedom? What material is covered at OT III and above?

  116. El Diablo Says:

Seems “Tom” doesn’t get how the construction of the Hubbard-verse is integral to the practice of Scientology, if not EXPLICITLY, then IMPLICITLY. It won’t matter how much evidence, or how well it’s explained…it seems he cannot get that through his thick head that people aren’t just buying into a hoax. Perhaps he is TOO LAZY to trawl through the vast amount of material out there which has lead me and many others to this conclusion.

Also, Mark…I actually quite like Bernie…I don’t agree with many of his conclusions, but unlike Tom, he is a very reasonable and polite fellow, which are traits I can respect.

Tom just rants on and on with the same old crap, making himself look more insane with every word he utters (types) online. I was actually quite willing to speak to him politely, but *shock horror* he ignores anything I say until I throw in a line about him being angry at his father (I sooo wanted to see what would happen). Surprise, surprise, he THEN decides to reply to something I had said…ironically after I had given up speaking to him directly, instead addressing the fellow commenters on his blog. Funny how he only has something to say when he has something to be angry about.

This dude needs some serious therapy…and I don’t say that lightly, because mental illness is nothing to be flippant about. Or even just some time away from the computer…maybe out in the country.

He seriously needs to stop digging…step back from the deep pit he’s standing in…and think about what he’s saying.

  117. Tom Newton Says:

    ^

Wow. More of the “…attack the attacker!” policy which you attribute to the Scientologists.

Why not address the FACT that Mark Bunker announced his intentions to get arrested five minutes before he was taken into custody?

    Here’s why:

You are an A.C.M. troll sent in to distract people from reading these posts.

    Nice try, failtroll.

  118. XENU TV Says:

Tom refuses to back up his absurd theories of Xenu being a “hoax.”

Funny how Tom would know better than the L.A. Times and the St. Petersburg Times, (both of which won Pulitzers for their coverage of Xenu and other Scientology fraud) as well as the Washington Post, the N.Y.Times, 60 Minutes, 20/20, the BBC, the CBC, NPR and every other credible news source who has looked into this.

    But Tom knows better.

    Right.

  119. Tom Newton Says:

Why not address the FACT that Mark Bunker announced his intentions to get arrested five minutes before he was taken into custody?

  120. El Diablo Says:

Was he calling me an ACM troll??

Maybe I’m a bit slow, but I’m not sure what ACM is…someone wanna lemmie know? 😛

In case “Tom” (or anyone else) is wondering, he can rest assured that if he ever wants to be polite and reasonable I am more than willing to return the favor. In fact, it is my preference. If, however, one chooses to treat me with contempt they do so at their own peril. I have MAD argumentative skills…far superior than “Tom’s”.

Also (I imagine) my hair way more bouncy, since it isn’t being weighed down by all that anger and paranoia.

BTW, Mark…If not for “Tom” I would never have said this. But you TOTALLY ROCK. I hope to have as much patience and good humor when surrounded by total insanity as you do. Respect ++

  121. sumone Says:

Well, the Xenu story is a hoax by default. It’s part of scientology.

Besides, it’s of no importance since when members realize “the tech” works no better than common sence with the slight difference that it’s not free, they will leave or become “inactive members”. There is a reason the numbers of people who have left the cult are greater than those “in”.

As somone said in a previous post.
If you are worried about a relative who is gone missing in the ranks of the cult, see if you can’t get a Welfare Check on them for their last know address, or the last known org they were in. That’s what important here.

Having seen both sides of a few org walls, having read OCMB and Toms page and been at a few protests, I can only say that the cult is crumbling. We’ll probably see a final push of commercials (ie: public anouncements) to pull in more public.
I’ve already started to recieve scientology spam about ideal orgs needing more funding (cover story being they have some ‘great news’ and we need to go to a meeting and donate some munneh).
The doubting people still in the ranks will be jarred by this soon, the Anons who are on the spam-lists get free dox and everyone is happy…. except for thursdays and on the inside where the scientologists are crying.

  122. El Diablo Says:

Oh I should add that I respect you anyhow…but I don’t typically “take sides” on controversial issues…only defend and try to improve my own opinions taking into account those of others and the evidence on the whole.

Scientologist or not (I don’t really care one way or the other), this guy is soooo – as ToryMagoo would say – “creating his own enemies”. Through his own extreme position and poor argumentative skills he has proven you to be clearly the superior netizen, hence your upgrade to totally rockin’.

This is what the kiddies would call a foot-bullet, right?

  123. Geradeaus Karfield Says:

I’m Tom Newton I know people who can get you arrested ooooo.

Sounds like an internet Nazi to me.

You going to sick the Gestapo on Mark you interjerk?

You are such a jerk the amount of salty bull crap that steams form your text is enough to dry up the ocean

  124. Tom Newton Says:

Why are you still attacking me?

Why not address the FACT that Mark Bunker announced his intentions to get arrested five minutes before he was taken into custody?

    Tom

  125. El Diablo Says:

“Why are you still attacking me?”

    Oh the irony!

    Lol. This dude is priceless.

  126. Geradeaus Karfield Says:

Believe me if I was attacking you then you’d know it Tom.

    So let me be blunt.

I think your a smart guy….just to much of an idiot for my tastes.

And on the arresting thing. I guess you’ve never head of the Civil Right movement…where thousands of people were arrested unfairly and unjustifiably.

Many to make a statement to get their word out and spread the word of equality for all.

I’m not saying that was his intention but really Tom do you think he really gives a damn about being Arrested by Scientologist nut bags? I mean honestly I’d willingly get arrested for the bull crap they are doing there and you ranting and raving about it just makes you look like a complete tool.

But here’s the thing are you a wrench or a hammer?

  127. El Diablo Says:

^^^ LRH didn’t much care for civil rights. Well, not officially. But social instability sure does make for some great middle-class-insecurity, which undoubtedly helped his “cause” immeasurably!

Now, if we could only have another cold war… 😉

Also, I’d like to agree with the tool analogy, only tools are typically useful, or members of a kickass band. If I had to choose though, I’d say he was either a fondue-fork, or a melon-baller. Definitely something cheese and/or fruit related.

  128. anonymous Says:

notice how when tom couldn’t answer a question he went to attack WBM. He is not addressing Scientology just trying to muddy the water.

  129. Kenny Says:

Tom, show me an exscientologist, who says that Xenu is not part of OT3. Don’t you think if it was just a hoax, then there would be at least one honest exscientologist, who would confirm this? Or do you think that all exscientologists are liars?

  130. Dissenting voice Says:

    El Diablo,

You seem right. I ask a polite question and am ignored. Now, I wager that if I attack Tom, then he’ll fire back, but from a philosophical standpoint, that kind of thing is like kissing your sister.

Didn’t LRH say something about always attack and never defend? Hmm.

Incidentally, I’d love to spar words with you sometime, for I always love spirited and earnest debate, but on these matters, we seem closely aligned.

  131. El Diablo Says:

    Hey Dissenting Voice! 🙂

I dare say we would be closely aligned on the subject at hand, but I *am* prone to moments of profound daftness, so no doubt you’ll have something to call me out on sooner or later.

Also, I don’t think it would be that hard to offend “Tom”. Like, if you took all the possible things he could find insulting, what the rest of us on planet earth would consider insulting would be an itsy-bitsy subset of that.

Like…“Tom, I don’t really like that shirt…the print is too fussy and the color washes out your skin tone.”

Tom (in my imagination): “WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING ME??? YOU’RE A RACIST, TERRORIST LOVIN’ BIGOT AND I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU!!!!”

*Maybe add some foot stomping in here*

Which is possibly akin to kissing your sister on the cheek…at worst, perving on your hot cousin. I dunno. I’m a girl, so I’m not sure how these things are ranked.

But anyhoo…I’ll no doubt be killing time not talking to Tom on his blog. I’m trying to start a trend where we just talk to each other and pretend Tom isn’t there…or at least just metaphorically pat him on the head and go “that’s nice dear…now, could you help mummy out and get the potato salad out of the fridge…we’re just about ready for dinner.”

This whole thing had me confused. A member of the Scientology made a citizen’s arrest, but in California, A citizen’s arrest is only permitted in case of a felony, and no felony’s were committed. At most it could be considered a simple misdemeanor. Why don’t the police realize this?
