May 30, 2009

I’ve been posting a bunch of Pat Harney videos lately.   Here’s an intro piece from TomVallar.

Gold Chat

May 25, 2009

I went to Gold with Andreas Heldal-Lund, Tory and a few others yesterday and made a quick little video.

Stress Test Takedown

May 25, 2009

Scientology works — and it helps people.  That is the message of Dan Murnan in 1999 and again in 2009.

Why Doesn’t Scientology Work”

May 22, 2009

This went up in December but I saw it for the first time today.   skoek reads items he finds on the net.  This one from Just Bill is pretty good.

Behind Closed Doors

May 22, 2009

Another fun video from Anonymous.   There’s a lot of talented Anons snapping photos and setting them to music.

Scientology Labeled a Hate Group

May 20, 2009

The evil psychs finally strike back at the CCHR.

Original text:

SAN FRANCISCO, May 20 — Physicians gathering for the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting here were greeted with a noisy street protest by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), an offshoot of the Church of Scientology.

From its earliest days in the 1950s, Scientologists have waged a campaign accusing the psychiatric profession of a range of abuses. Now conducted under the CCHR’s banner, the campaign currently portrays psychiatry as an “industry of death.”

Demonstrations like the one at this year’s meeting have become a fixture at the annual gatherings.

In this exclusive MedPage Today video report, APA President Nada Stotland, M.D., explains what it’s like for a medical society that has, as she put it, its own dedicated hate group — the impact on practicing psychiatrists, and how the group has responded.

Big wins in San Francisco as Anonymous counter-protests the Scientologists protesting evil psychs.

Cover Up

May 18, 2009

There’s been a raft of new Scientologists commenting on my YouTube videos recently, or at least new nicks.  I went to the profile of AdriannaDelMar and read her very long defense of the Hubbard quote, “dispose of them quietly and without sorrow.”

“To answer some questions with regards to what LRH meant when he referred to those 2.0 and below on the tone scale, please read the following and stop misinterpreting it.

“When Hubbard talks of ‘people from 2.0 down’ being hard to reason with he is referring to those at and below 2.0 on the Tone Scale, ie, those who are antagonistic, or angry, or who are secretly hostile to others, etc.

Science of Survival helps practitioners raise people on the Tone Scale, up into the higher brackets and thus helping them to become happier and more joyful. The three methods outlined are:

1) Education – learning the tools and knowledge necessary to improve oneself and conditions in life.

2) Change in environment – move out of a hostile or antagonistic environment and into an environment that is more positive and higher toned.

3) Auditing – receive Scientology counseling which frees up more of one’s own natural, positive energy, enabling one to be happier and more able in life.

These are known as the three valid processes which Hubbard mentions in the above quotation. These processes are used by Auditors on their clients to help them achieve heightened states of being.

However, a very small percentage of people who are stuck, chronically, in the lower bands on the Tone Scale do not respond to the three processes, and does not make much, if any, gain in Scientology as a whole. Such individuals often exert negative, oppressive influences on others and tend to be destructive in nature.

Such an individual would be taken off services (which would be refunded) and routed-out of Scientology.

“Our policy is we don’t waste time on them. To cater to them is to betray 90% of the population. So we set them aside for another day. We get them offlines, out of orgs and to one side.” L. Ron Hubbard, from HCO PL 16 Oct 1967, SUPPRESSIVES & THE ADMINISTRATOR

In this fashion, they are indeed disposed of quietly and without sorrow.

Those who have no knowledge of Auditing policy, and Church structure as a whole, are quick to misinterpret these words of Hubbard’s. Unfortunately, when these misinterpretations are propagated to others as fact, hysteria and intolerance can, and do, occur”.

I wanted to post a reply to her profile but it wouldn’t allow me so here’s my response:

You have put an awful lot of effort into spinning Hubbard’s “dispose of them quietly and without sorrow.” Here’s some more from Science of Survival which you didn’t quote:

“The reasonable man quite ordinarily overlooks the fact that people from 2.0 down have no traffic with reason and cannot be reasoned with as one would reason with a 3.0. “

What else is below 2.0 on the tone scale? Pain, fear, anxiety, despair, sympathy (oddly enough) victim, apathy, dying… But what did Hubbard really say about handling these people in the exact same section of Science of Survival:

“The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered. It is not necessary to produce a world of clears in order to have a reasonable and worthwhile social order; it is only necessary to delete those individuals who range from 2.0 down, either by processing them enough to get their tone level above the 2.0 line — a task which, indeed, is not very great, since the amount of processing in many cases might be under fifty hours, although it might also in others be in excess of two hundred — or simply quarantining them from the society. “

So Hubbard would quarantine these people — not just deprive them of Scientology services. Huh. Now, why would you lie about that?  And what was the anecdote he used to describe this process:

“A Venezuelan dictator  once decided to stop leprosy. He saw that most lepers in his country were also beggars. By the simple expedient of collecting and destroying all the beggars in Venezuela an end was put to leprosy in that country.”

Not quite the same thing you are saying, is it Adrianna?  Why are you squirreling Source?  And do you really think lies are going to help you?

The Return of Buddy

May 16, 2009

Here’s a fellow I haven’t seen since 1999.  Buddy was the fellow who told me I was a Prejudist and I was preducing.
