Mind Control Made Easy
This is an excellent video from Carey Burtt which lays out what you need to know about how destructive groups such as Scientology work. It uses humor to make its decidedly serious points.
As important as it is to have big media cover Scientology and related groups, have any reports on a major network been better able to explain what people go through when they join an abusive mind-control group such as Scientology?
Taking the information from Robert J. Lifton’s theories on mind control and making it accessible to the young people who are the prime targets of recruitment, Burtt has made an important video which deserves to be seen by all.

This is probably the most important video in your archive.

I like it too which is why I gave it extra attention. Thanks, Davd.

What makes this video so scary is that it is true. This is how they operate, the they in this case being Scientology.

This is scary. They don’t even mention Scientology, but the video’s describing it to a “T”. Cults have always amazed me because of the reason that people actually join them. Plus, I’m big into psychology and all that stuff. Scientology is different than any other cult to me. So far, it hasn’t turned into anything like Manson’s cult, but the fact that it has a spotlight in Hollywood is what worries me. I feel great pity for the people that get sucked into these things.

The more I know about scientology, more pity I feel about people who join it.
I hope this site will open your eyes! They only teach the egoisme and materialism, which only degradates the world.
Thank God I don’t know anyone here in my country that belongs to that “church”(?)!

The whole world should see this.

I actually used to do these things and I thought I was HELPING people. That’s part of what people outside of $cientology need to know: most of the $cnists you meet on your way in, are not bad, mean, or vicious people. They’re simply good cult members — on staff or not — who think that they have really found something and want to share it. They were indoctrinated the very same way, have become true believers and just want to help you.

I have been watching you and the LMT crew online fore about 6 months. Let me start by saying you and Bob Minton are true heroes and I am sad more people to not recognize that. I have xenutv on my favorites tab and my girlfriend wants to kill me because I keep making her watch with me every video about this cult I can find. I tried calling a phone number I found for the LMT but it was disconnected. That was very disheartening. What happened to Bob Minton? Did scientology get to him? I hope not. I am totally shocked that more do not know about the danger’s of this Nazi like cult and that they use the US’s very one principles of religious acceptance to their advantage. I think the problem is that people are so scared of being deemed not politically correct that they fail to recognize the truth. Thank you for all your troubles in exposing this disgraceful cult. Please tell Minton that he is a hero–as are you. Blessings.

One last comment. Tory is awesome and is also a hero. Forgive my spelling by the way.

I absolutely love this. My father believes in scientology. He holds my mother hostage, refuses her all medical treatment. All of their money pays for the very expensive vitamins that they take by the handfuls several times a day. He thinks that he can cure cancer with vitamins and his out of body experiences. When I was sick and in the hospital he came to see me and begged me to leave because I was being poisoned by the medical establishment. When I didn’t leave he didn’t talk to me for months. He did, however, convince my sister to leave the hospital when she was sick. Many days later she was in the hospital again for emergency surgery —-guess she didn’t work the tech right. My father thinks LRH is freaking messiah!!! What am I to do? My family is trapped and I am too supressive to be spoken to.

KUDOS!
-to all who helped in producing this gem. I was involved
in two cults (you think I’d have learned the FIRST time..),
and a “cult of one”, which was a VERY manupilative,
needy person not even involved in a group. I dare say that
I feel I was lucky to get out of the first cult after five years,
not losing TOO much money (some thousands of $$), I had
to have a strong will to escape the “cult of one” by changing
my phone number. Lastly (and it was the easiest
“escape”, though I lost a fair amount of friends in the
process), I left the last cult in 1988 with NO damage.
I was helped by an exit counselor, and in the process,
he showed me Lifton’s theories on MIND CONTROL.
Keep up the excellent work. And to you people who
are struggling, BE who you ARE, listen to your true
self, and otherwise never give up allowing the TRUTH
to help you make your personal decisions!

Hello there. I just wanted to comment and let you know I think that what your doing is just wonderful. $cientology and the like scare the life out of me. It is so horrifying. I am so happy that you’re trying to expose these cults for what they are. I’m not religioius in any way personally, but I do hope for these cult followers sakes that one day they stumble across one of these videos and realize what the cult is doing to them, realize there isn’t anything wrong with them etc. It saddens me deeply to know that there are people out there that would take advantage of others the way $cientology and the like has. I’m sure most of the lower members are really trying to help others and feel they’re doing the right thing, but it’s all about the cash, power, etc. when you get hirer up, such as in L. Ron Hubbord’s case
It’s horrible. The more I read/hear about it the more it disturbs me…hopefully it won’t last forever though and the members etc. can get out before they get themselves harmed too badly. I very much look forward to Jason Beghe’s interview
Thank you for trying to help others with your video’s and inform them/warn them of cults etc. Even though I personally am not a member of cults nor religion, it makes my very happy to know that there are people out there trying to help others with information and make an effort to put an end to this and expose these things for what they are. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts. Take care now and thank you again for all your hard work

This could also be any MLM … the worship of the founder, the insistence that you are doing it wrong, separating you from non-MLM people.
